Olive yellowish brown colour which darkens when exposed to light. Interlocked grain of medium to coarse texture. Often used as a substitute for Teak due to its similar characteristics and appearance. Commonly referred to as African Teak.

Works satisfactorily well by machine and hand tools although has a blunting effect on cutting edges. May contain stony deposits and dust has an irritant effect, therefore breathing protection is a must.

Very durable, Class 1 – 25 years plus in contact with the ground.
